Slide 7:  FHWA Proposal Comment Periods – 2014

[This slide contains a timeline for FHWA Proposal comment periods in 2014 from March through December. The timeline covers stages one through three in the proposal comment period. The first stage will focus on safety and will include 3 Notices of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRMs). The Safety Performance Measure (PM) and HSIP NPRMs were published in March and their comment period ends June 30, overlapping with the Metropolitan and non-Metropolitan Statewide Planning NPRM (out for comment until the end of August). The second stage will focus on infrastructure condition and management. The two NPRMs in this stage, Asset Management and Infrastructure PM, are scheduled to be published in August and include comment periods of 60 and 90 days, respectively. The third and final stage is the System Performance+ PM, which includes a 90-day comment period.]
